I really didn’t want to get caught up in commenting on the real time Golf News, but I think this needs a mention. In the Tiger Wood’s Chevron World Challenge on Friday, there were some interviews with players complaining about the muddy conditions on the golf course. Unlike most of us, Pro Athletes are rewarded very well for doing something they really love. That being said, I really get tired of them whining about things that happen that will affect everyone the same in that contest. In this instant, I am referring to the Muddy Ball Comments. We all have, at one time or another, had this happen so we do know the results of playing in those conditions. The over all scores are not what was expected but that holds true for the entire field. Why complain about things you have no control over! I’m not just picking on golf in this either. As you may know, I love auto racing and have been doing it for over 40 years. The same thing happens there where one driver will start whining about bad tire compound, slick race track, to cold or what ever, you get the idea. Guys, its the same for everybody so just suck it up and do the best you can with what you have to work with. We don’t want to hear it, cause nobody listens to us when we complain and we play just for the fun of it.

Having a cell phone on the golf course is like having a gas can next to an open fire, your just asking for problems. I don’t know about you but my skin just crawls when a cell phone rings while I am  enjoying my golf game. If you have to take your phone out on the course, then you really don’t need to be out there. I believe that in the time it takes to play 18 holes of golf, there will be enough issues arise to slow and detain play. If you have read my profile, you will note that my goal is to keep the game fun and somewhat relaxing. So please everyone, step up and do your part, leave your phone in the car. If you can’t be without it, at least put it on vibrate.

  Because we all seem to travel from time to time, I thought it would be great to have a lists of golf courses that people would recommend. So here is what I would like for you to do, send me the name, city and state of your favorite. Be it what ever your reason is, ease of play, cost of a round, pro shop or great bar. I think you get the idea.

  Once I start getting a list, I will put a nice report together so that we can share it with all our visitors. So what do you say guys send me your favorite golf course info from anywhere in the world and I’ll build us a list.

That this is named for seniors,don’t think that this blog is only about “old guys” playing golf. My intention is to cover the everyday issues that arise in the Wonderful Game Of Golf.
